Appearance Even from a distance, you could probably tell exactly how quirky Cyn is. Even though he's evidently out a journey with a bunch of Pokemon to call his own, he spends a good amount of time, if not all of it, wearing a tuxedo-like school uniform. He has also let his hair grow out to horrifying lengths. When asked about it, he'd generally respond that he let it grow this long on the grounds that he wanted to. At a glance, he also seems to have rather red eyes, but these are actually contacts Cyn put in... On the grounds that he thought it would make him look more awesome. Of course, beyond all of this, Cyn appears to be a rather typical-ish Trainer. That said, if you spent a bit of time around Cyn, you'd notice a couple of quirks in his behavior. For one, while he would occasionally act and sound extremely excited, if you were good at reading emotions, you'd be able to constantly see a degree of complete and utter apathy in his eyes. On top of that, you could probably notice his incredibly tense body language, which would hint at degrees of paranoia. Personality At a glance, Cyn would appear as your normal 12 year old kid. He seems almost irritatingly happy-go-lucky, and is essentially willing to do whatever he believes is the right thing - With a little bit of dramatic flair, for good measure. After all, he's 12 years old. He doesn't much care for efficiency so long as it looks awesome. He also treats everyone with a lot of respect, almost to the point where he seems like a complete suck-up. Although, occasionally, little quirks will shine through in his personality, such as him addressing an audience as he gives a speech, or going out of his way to do something ridiculous, merely for shock value. His life, in his opinion, is worth quite a lot, but he won't hesitate to throw himself into danger, due to the Plot Armor he believes is protecting him throughout his tale. Ambitions: Cyn's ambitions are pretty basic: He wants to do whatever he finds exciting to please his 'fans' and 'viewers' all over the world. He will do whatever he deems necessary to achieve this goal as well, such as endangering his own life for no explicable reason. History Cyn, at birth, was a pretty normal kid. He learned to walk and talk at a normal rate, if not a little bit faster, and essentially showed no signs of mental issues whatsoever. He was the poster child for complete and utter normality. As he grew older and began actually considering what he might try to get done with his life, at the age of 8 or so, he stumbled across an occupation Cyn found that he liked immensely: The idea of being a movie star. Of course, from birth, Cyn had lived in Flash City, the idea of his at least getting a shot at his dream, albeit with a good amount of competition, was far from out of the question. About a week before the auditions to play a guest in a show, he spent nearly 9 hours a day practicing his lines. By the time he was done, the worlds were essentially engraved into his skull. Perhaps, it is by all of this practicing Cyn did that he would succeed in getting his first role in a show. According to critics, Cyn's performance was... Passable. As far as child actors go, he was quite good, but in the grand scheme of things, Cyn had an immense amount more practice to do before he could be considered an excellent actor by any means. Of course, along with his 'acceptable' performance came the occasional offer for a role in other places. Having loved all of his time in the previous show, he happily accepted most, if not all, of the roles, and got to get plenty of practice by the time his name would really start going anywhere. Finally, at the age of 11, he got an opportunity that he had been hoping for an an immensely long time: A lead role. Cyn spent nearly 9 hours a day for a month practicing, almost a parallel to his time before his first role. He would get several complaints from several people about the locations he would practice his roles in; Heck, he had no problems practicing in the middle of a crowd of people, but by the end he knew his lines so well that he couldn't possibly fail. And, finally, auditions for the lead role came. While this would be putting it mildly, Cyn floored all of the competition with all of the practicing he had done over the past month. Cyn, all things considered, was more excited than any time he had been in his life. He turned around to call his family, who hadn't been able to attend, and give them the good news. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. Cyn got back some pretty bad news: His family was dead. All taken out by an unknown assailant. Cyn took the news... Rather harshly. Those watching the scene could distinctly remember a scream that was almost carved into their psyche, before a 12 year old kid slumped over and passed out in front of them. When Cyn came too, his condition wasn't too much better. Despite a nearby medical attention facility's attempts to stop him, Cyn was insistent on leaving and going on an exploration. Something about... Entertaining his fans? Little did they know, the shock of his parent's death broke Cyn quite permanently. As though a way of coping, he projected his love of movies onto everything. In essence, he now believed that his life was a movie: And he was the main star. In the end, perhaps this is Cyn believes his life to be so, because, once the curtain closes and his movie would be over, he would be able to see his family again offstage... Cyn forced himself to continue his trek through this underground tunnel he had slipped into, the fall down having accomplished leaving a fairly nasty cut across his leg. While it wasn't bleeding profusely, it did leave Cyn with the companion of pain in his otherwise silent journey. As he walked through the cave, keeping his head up in hopes of seeming as badass for his audience as possible, because, after all, who wants a week protagonist(?), a rather frightening possibility happened upon Cyn's otherwise blank mind: What if some wild Pokemon happened to try to ambush while he was in his wounded status? The idea shook Cyn up nicely. With a grab towards his belt, he tossed a lone Pokeball into the air. With an almost dramatic red light show, one of Cyn's companions would begin to materialize in front of him. It wouldn't take long to identify the shape of Claw, Cyn's Zangoose. It seemed rather concerned about Cyn's leg, but Cyn attempted to get its focus elsewhere, stating that "We can worry about this thing as soon as we get out of here. We could be attacked while we sit around and worry about this." Claw conceded, and began acting as a vigilant scout for Cyn, aiming to keep his friend protected at nearly at costs. Cyn let loose a little grin, thankful for the company and protection. Cyn didn't even remember when he obtained Claw and Prince, although he did distinctly remember having them ever since he woke up in the hospital after hearing... Cyn cut himself off. Now's not exactly the time to reminisce, after all. He had more pressing concerns; primarily, not getting himself stuck down in this little cave forever. While Claw served as his shield, he would use his own eyes as well to look for an exit. He surveyed the area carefully, looking for any nook and cranny that would help him escape. The cave was incredibly dark, and, overall, made piercing through it incredibly difficult. However, it was only a few moments before Cyn's eyes adjusted to the black void around him and he could see, albeit only somewhat. Although, even then, nothing in the immediate area seemed incredibly useful to him right now. Of course, as he had that thought, he found his light, quite literally. Off in the distance, one could see a flicker of light coming in. In his excitement, Cyn essentially forgot entirely about the rough condition his leg was in. "Come on, Claw, I can see an exit! We're almost out!" However, Cyn's quick sprint out was not to be. As he made his escape, a loud, piercing growl erupted from in front of him, forcing Cyn to jump back in surprise. As though on cue, a Rhyperior arose in front of him. Evidently, Cyn had angered it by stepping on it, although, in his defense, it was nearly pitch black. It was a bit lighter due to the light flickering in from the distance, but it was still hard to see. With a war cry and the spinning of the horn on its head, the Rhyperior charged at Cyn, with its head down low and drill aiming at Cyn. Without a moment's hesitation, Claw flung himself in front of the attack, clearly ready for a match with the rock-hard opponent. Cyn let out a sigh of relief as Claw leaped in front of the attack, but he wasn't out of the woods yet. Rhyperior was still going for Zangoose quick, and, as things stand, Claw wouldn't be able to do much to stop it. |
